The Modified Glue Gun
The
glue gun is included with the SimpleBind. It includes two
interchangeable tips–a wide tip suitable for spreading glue quickly as
well as a thin tip that may be better suited to narrower spines.
The
unique two-part tip design offers great flexibility. You can create
your own custom tips with easily available parts, or use tips offered by
other glue gun manufacturers. The gun is designed to accept male or
female threads, greatly expanding your options.
The tips included
can also be used with glue guns from other manufacturers, should you
decide to use a different brand with a threaded nozzle. (A plus for our
overseas customers). Check with your glue gun manufacturer for thread
compatibility.The SimpleBind Fan Binder
A Traditional Cold Glue Alternative.
If hot glue binding isn't your style, try the SimpleBind Fan Binder. This newly redesigned machine makes PVA fan binding a breeze with its swiveling clamps and built-in jogging surface. The use of cold glue makes this machine ideal for hands-on teaching of younger children who are just learning about binding. While this machine is suitable for children, it will also serve the serious binder well.
The SimpleBind Book Press
This inexpensive press is built of Baltic birch plywood and is sturdy enough for your pressing needs. These are unfinished to keep prices low, though you can certainly finish them off with several coats of polyurethane.
